Ashtyn Barbaree is an internationally touring gritty Americana singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA. She has a smokey, yet silky voice accompanied with harmonies, guitar, tenor 8-string ukulele, upright bass, pedal steel, drums and piano. 

 

Ashtyn has performed across the United States, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, The Netherlands and Germany.

Her self-titled debut EP was recorded at the Butcher Shoppe Studio (Nashville, TN, USA) and released April 2018. She spent time in the studio alongside some remarkable Nashville musicians including: Jeffrey Clemens, Kenny Vaughan, Dave Roe, Dave "Fergie" Ferguson, Michael Rojas and Sean Sullivan. Since its release, she has received national and international music reviews complimenting her work. 

 

2019 was a busy year including performances at Folk Alliance International (Montreal, Canada), an official showcase at CD Baby's DIY Festival (Austin, Texas), an artist residency in NYC (Bethany Arts) and a month of touring Europe.

 

In 2020 she adapted to online shows (including Thriving Roots by Americana Music Association) and virtual teaching, then spent time recording a new full length record with Jeffrey Clemens, Chris Scruggs, Brook Sutton, Tommy Hannum and Jacob Campbell at The Studio Nashville (Nashville, TN, USA). 

 

In 2021 she was nominated and selected to be the Arkansas State Music Ambassador. Her new record, Better Luck Next Time, will be physically released on May 28th, 2022 at the Fayetteville Public Library (Fayetteville, AR, USA). It will be released to streaming services on June 3rd, 2022 before her show at Geyser By The Sea (Copenhagen, Denmark).
